Maternal and Women’s Health Initiative

Wellness. Equity. Empowerment.

The Maternal & Women’s Health Initiative is a powerful co-creation between Lindsay Gibson of Majestic Community Wellness and Katia Powell-Laurent of HUED Mamas Co—two women deeply rooted in community, culture, and care. Together, they are building a revolutionary wellness ecosystem designed to honor the lives and health of women, especially Black women, who are too often overlooked by traditional systems.

This initiative reclaims wellness as a birthright—not a luxury.

Whether facing fertility challenges, navigating postpartum recovery, living with chronic illness, or moving through the ups and downs of midlife and the elder years, women deserve access to healing that affirms their full humanity.

Through this movement, we offer free, culturally relevant, and trauma-informed wellness services, including:

•  Prenatal, Fertility & Postnatal Yoga to restore balance and ease

Movement & Mindfulness Support for cancer and chronic illness

Menopause & Midlife Wellness rooted in dignity and self-love

Community Circles where women are heard, seen, and supported

More than a program, the Maternal & Women’s Health Initiative is our promise—to our mothers, daughters, sisters, and caregivers—that you matter. You are not alone. We are with you.

When women are well, our whole community thrives.
