Our Decades of Experience
The Maternal & Women’s Health Ecosystem was co-founded by Lindsay Gibson of Majestic Community Wellness and Katia Powell-Laurent of HUED Mamas Co — two leaders deeply rooted in community, culture, and care.
For decades, they have walked alongside women through every stage of life — fertility, prenatal care, postpartum recovery, navigating loss, menopause, osteoporosis, and healthy aging.
Through this work, they’ve witnessed the same truth again and again: women of color face deep gaps in care — not because the need isn’t there, but because the systems meant to support them often overlook them.
This initiative was created to close those gaps, delivering healing directly to women in spaces where they feel safe, seen, and heard.
